Grass Industry Biotechnology Research Team

BRIEF INTRODUCTION

The grass industry biotechnology research team was founded in 2001 and is affiliated to the State Key Laboratory of Conservation and Utilization of Subtropical Agricultural Biological Resources. The team has long been engaged in the research on the physiology, biochemistry and molecular mechanism of stress resistance of turfgrass and pasture. With the support of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the 973 project, the research focused on the drought resistance of turfgrass such as bermudagrass and false thrush, and the resistance of yellow clover and Stylosanthes Coldness lays the foundation for improving the stress resistance of turfgrass and pasture, and breeds new strains of dwarfing stress-resistant bermudagrass and false thrips. In recent years, he has published nearly 50 papers in internationally renowned academic journals such as Plant Biotechnology Journal, Plant Cell and Environment. The team currently has 1 professor, 1 associate professor, and team leader Professor Lu Shaoyun.
