BRIEF INTRODUCTION:

The Research Center for Medicinal Plants of South China Agricultural University is the school-level research center of South China Agricultural University established in 2001. It mainly conducts basic theory and applied technology research on the resources, cultivation and development of medicinal plants in South China, and also carries out research in South China. Research on the relationship between the structure and function of important economic plants and the biological characteristics of the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana. The research center has successively carried out the morphological structure, germplasm breeding, cultivation technology, resource development and utilization of Chinese medicinal plants such as Guanghuoxiang, Guangfoshou, Morinda officinalis, honeysuckle, cinnamon, orange, camptotheca and echinacea. Research work in other fields has accumulated a solid research foundation in the above research direction and has strong research strength. At the same time, the center has achieved important research results in the structure and development of the resin channel of the Pinaceae family, an important economic plant, and its relationship with resin production, and the structure, development, and relationship with the production of essential oils of the rutaceae plant secretion cavity; A large amount of progress has also been made in the study of the biological characteristics of the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana.
