Areaof Expertise
Toxicologyof mycotoxins (Deoxynivalenol, T-2 toxin, etc.): DNA Damage, HistoneModification and gene expression, Cell cycle alterations, mitochondrial response, cancer.
Mycotoxinsare secondary metabolites produced by microfungi, including Fusarium,Penicillium, etc. Mycotoxins can exert acute, sub-acute and chronictoxicological effects to animals and humans. However, the molecularmechanisms of the toxicology of many mycotoxins are still unclear. Weare interested to understand the toxicology of mycotoxin at cellularand molecular level, especially its mechanisms underlying DNA damage, histone modification changes, cell cycle alterations, mitochondrialresponse and cancer.
