    华南农业大学生命科学学院教授,博士生导师。近年来主要从事禾本科和豆科植物的花序结构、茎端分生组织细胞命运抉择、环境适应等相关农艺性状的进化、遗传和发育生物学研究。在博士和博士后期间获得美国自然科学基金博士项目和德国洪堡基金等项目,并以(共同)第一作者或通讯作者身份在PNAS (2), Trends in Plant Science, New Phytologist (3), Annals of Botany, American Journal of Botany等杂志发表论文10篇。受邀为The Plant Cell, Science Advances, Molecular Biology and Evolution, The New Phytologist, Plant Physiology等杂志审稿。

 

Our research interests are centered on the evolution of plant development, with a special focus on cereal grasses and legumes. Particularly, we seek to better understand (1) the genetic basis of complex morphological/physiological novelties (e.g. valuable agronomic traits), (2) the molecular mechanisms of plant resilience to environmental cues (e.g. temperature), and (3) evolutionary patterns and processes underlying plant speciation and diversification (e.g. hybridization and polyploidization). Our long-term goal is to understand what genetic changes underlie floral evolution and yield-related traits, and how evolutionary processes shape species diversity and crop genomes. The projects will provide insights into crop productivity and local adaptation,and suggest future avenues of research for geographically based and precision plant breeding.
