Professional Biography

Dr. Xinxiang Peng worked as postdoctoral fellow in IRRI (International Rice Research Institute in Philippines) from 1991 to 1993 and 1995 to 1996, and as senior visiting scientist in Cornell University and San Francisco State University, USA, and Tohoku University, Japan. He was promoted to a full professor in the SCAU in late 1997. His lab now focuses on photosynthesis biology, especially the molecular mechanisms for photosynthetic regulation, and then the molecular and genetic improvement to increase photosynthetic efficiency in crops.

Area of Expertise

Photosynthesis; Stress; Metabolic Control; Synthetic Bilogy
