Professional Biography
Dr. Jikai Wen worked as research associate in Wuhan Institute of Virology, Chinese Academy of Sciences from 2003 to 2005, and as postdoctoral fellow in the University of Birmingham from 2009 to 2013 in UK, and enrolled as a professor in the SCAU in early 2014. He has severed as the head of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, College of Life Sciences, SCAU since 2016 and associated director of Guangdong provincial key laboratory of Protein Function and Regulation in Agricultural Organisms since 2018.
Prof. Wen’s lab focuses on the toxicosis and detoxification of mycotoxins such as AFB1, DON and T-2 toxins in animals, especially the molecular explanations for mycotoxicosis of trichothecenes, catalysis mechanisms for biotransformation of microbial toxins and related applications.
